Wellocks at Home have created a fine-dining feast for two in your kitchen on Saturday 24th April, with a box of quality ingredients and a digital masterclass from Michelin-starred chef  James Mackenzie (The Pipe and Glass)  which is suitable for all cooking abilities.
James will guide you through his three course fine-dining menu with an exclusive Digital Masterclass, letting you in on tips and tricks behind some of his top dishes – and we can provide the carefully selected wine to compliment each course.

The Foundry Voignier

Viognier The Foundry, Stellenbosch, 2018, South Africa

Viognier is a white-wine grape variety known for producing textural, aromatic wines with pronounced stonefruit flavors; “apricots and steel” are the variety’s classic flavor associations. On the nose, Viognier wines can also be very herbal, with aromas of chamomile, lavender, thyme and even a hint of pine.

Complex and concentrated fruit flavors – green apple, ripe pear and lemon. 
Structure and roundness but without oaky flavours although some subtle earthiness.
The fruit is balanced by a vibrant acidity.

An intensely fruity and fragrant wine full of red fruits – raspberry, prune, black cherry and plum. On the palate it’s sweet, soft and creamy with hints of raisin.

This wine offers a complex array of aromatics ranging from dark, berry fruits through to savoury forest floor characters. The palate is softy and silky with exuberant berry and cherry flavours. This wine has a full mid-palate, good length and a rich, flavoursome finish.
