Michael will guide you through techniques, tips and tricks, and let you in on the secret behind some of his top dishes, and we can provide the carefully selected wine to compliment each course.

Roasted butternut squash, home-made ricotta, teriyaki hen-of-the-woods, pumpkin granola & nasturtium.

Verdelho, Lysa Wines, Stellenbosch, South Africa

Verdelho, Lysa Wines, Stellenbosch, South Africa – 2019

We are so chuffed to be able to offer this wine which was sold out as soon as the allocation arrived in the Uk. Imported by Master of Wine South African specialist, Richard Kelley, the wine received rave reviews from Jancis Robinson in the Financial Times and top scores from Greg Sherwood MW. With only 1568 bottles produced, this rare wine, produced from a grape that’s is normally used for making Madeira is quite a find. Vibrant, pure and elegant.

Yorkshire shin of beef, Alsace bacon, baby onions & pak choi.

Gran Reserva, Julian Reynolds, Alentejo, Portugal

Gran Reserva, Julian Reynolds, Alentejo, Portugal – 2011/12

Well we couldn’t have a Yorkshire red, so instead we go for a Yorkshire connection.
Julian Reynolds studied film studies at Leeds University back in the seventies, before going back to the family slate business and rescuing the family vineyards. He wanted to produce the best wines in the Alentejo, with plaudits and pundits extolling the merits he is certainly on the way to doing that. Wild berries, spice, elegant tannins, ripe fruit, a serious wine.

Brioche ‘pain perdu’, vanilla, cinnamon, caramelised pineapple & clotted cream.

Chateau Partarrieu, Sauternes, 2016

Chateau Partarrieu, Sauternes, France – 2016 (37.5cl – ½ bottle)

Château Partarrieu an 11ha property in the commune of Fargues lies just to the East of Château Rieussec and to the north of Ch de Fargues.  The plantings consist of 95% Sémillon and 5% Sauvignon old vines. The character of these wines is distinguished by impressive suppleness and smoothness, yet they are endowed with the classic Barsac richness and viscocity.
