Making A Purchase
Minimum age restrictions.
We can only sell alcohol to persons over the age of 18. By entering our website and/or placing orders you must be of minimum legal age or above.
Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our shop and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping basket. After you have finished your selection, click on ‘Checkout’ and you will be asked a few details which we need to be able to complete your order.
Alternatively, orders can be made by direct telephone or email.
We accept all major credit and debit card payments – Visa, Visa Debit, Visa Electron, Solo, Maestro and Mastercard. Sorry, we do not accept American Express or Diners Club. Payments made online will be debited from your card straight away. If you do not wish to pay online you may opt to pay by cheque and either post us a payment or telephone us with your card information. Contact details above. If paying by cheque, goods will be despatched on clearance of your payment.
If you make a mistake in your order and cannot correct it within the shopping basket, contact us and we will correct the mistake for you.
When you have completed your online order you will receive an automated ‘confirmation of order’ via the email address you provided. This does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in shipping costs, pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced or over-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable. In the event that an item(s) no longer being available or if the item(s) out of stock we will aim to contact you within 24 hours to either refund your payment, suggest an alternative product that is in stock or ask if you wish to place the out of stock item on back order.
When stocks and prices have been checked and there are no problems we will despatch your parcel as soon as possible.
Wherever possible we have endeavoured to ensure the accuracy of the information regarding each individual product. Prices and specifications can change without notice and products are subject to availability. If very specific bottles are required please contact us direct.
Shipping And Handling
We use Parcelforce Worldwide for shipping of all our orders.
The shipping costs are inclusive of VAT and are banded accordingly to your location in the UK/EU. Unfortunately, costs and restrictions are currently preventing us from delivering to Northern Ireland, the Isles of Scilly and the Isle of Man.

We will normally send your order to you within 24 hours. Delivery will be made before 4pm.Deliveries will only be successful dependent on the recipient being able to sign for the parcel. Consequently many customers prefer to give a work address for delivery – by completing the address section marked ‘delivery address’ if different from the ‘Invoice address’ when placing your order.

Should all or any of your order be out of stock, we will aim to contact you within 24 hours to either cancel your order and refund your payment or ask if you wish to place the out of stock item(s) on back order. We can also suggest alternative products should you require.
All our prices on our web site are subject to and inclusive of the prevailing rate of Value Added Tax (VAT) in the UK.

Credit Card Security
When the order is placed at our website, credit card numbers are encrypted using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any website.
The Wright Wine and Whisky Company do not disclose buyers’ information to third parties other than when order details are processed as part of the order fulfilment. In this case, the third party will not disclose any of the details to any other third party.
Cookies are used on this shopping site where they are strictly necessary for the site functionality. They are used to aid navigation, and to keep track of the contents of your shopping cart. If you log in to an account, your logged-in status is recorded in a temporary cookie. If you select the ‘Remember Me’ Option in the checkout, a cookie will be used to remember your details. Your rights to return goods are protected under the EU Distance Selling Directive.
You are entitled to cancel your order and return the goods within 7 working days for a full refund, including the cost of delivery. Do this by contacting us by email or telephone and quote the order number supplied to you. Your refund will be paid within 30 days. You are responsible for the cost and risk of loss or damage when returning the goods, so you should take out enough postal insurance to cover their value. This cancellation policy does not affect your rights when we are at fault – for example, if goods are faulty or misdescribed.
Any goods returned should be in saleable condition.
These terms apply to your order. We may change our terms and conditions at any time, so please do not assume that the same terms will apply in the future.
None of these terms affect your legal rights and these are not diminished in any way. If any term is held to be invalid under any applicable statute or rule of law, that term is automatically omitted from the terms to minimum extent necessary to comply with the law and without affecting the validity or enforceability of the remainder.
