As the markets have changed, and the demands differed – so have we, albeit with caution. Never ones to jump blindly onto bandwagons, our growth has been measured and considered – that said, we’ve found ourselves with not one, but 7 rooms of drinks heaven!
We live in an old building which leaves restrictions on expansion and changes, but that just suits us fine.
We’re now at a maximum capacity of seven rooms ranging from specialist wines such as Bordeaux and Burgundy, through to a unbelievable range of scotch (and world) whisky with a good measure of gin, rum and brandy in between.
Have a scroll through our “7 Rooms of Drinks Heaven” and for the true experience – come by and say hello. (We have hundreds of bottles open to taste…!).
Wine and Champagne
Wine from across the globe as well as specially selected wines from Rhône Valley, Loire Valley, Alsace and the South of France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, German & Austria, the rest of Europe and of course the New World too. We are very proud of our Champagne selection and now offer a fine mix of famous “houses” along with artisan growers. Every style imaginable is represented and across a complete range of price points. In addition, there is a stellar range of top vintages – including some of the greatest years going back 30 years! From feather light Chardonnay Blanc de Blancs to richer Pinot Noir and Meunier based blends; with a broad offering from the fashionable Rosé category. Why a cellar dedicated to Burgundy?
Burgundy is the most terroir sensitive and complex viticultural area in France – with over 150 different AOCs! For many this is one of the most interesting, even romantic regions. It also, thankfully, remains one of the most unspoilt. The spiritual home of the Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes, few regions can compare to Burgundy for producing both dry white and red wines of world class, side by side. For this, Burgundy certainly deserves it’s own dedicated space.
